The Club Newsletter

The Solent City Scooter Club Newsletter was solely devised, compiled, edited, printed and distributed by myself for an extremely short period of time after I joined the club.

I had been given access to a manually operated Gestetner printing copier from my Auntie who lived in Gosport. 
She also had a manual typewriter. (Was there any other type in those days?  I don’t think so) 
My typing skills were negligible, and it would take me a whole day of painstakingly ‘one finger typing’ out a Gestetner Master document, then a good part of Sunday morning actually printing the newsletters out for the club members to read..

After sacrificing 4 or 5 precious weekends, I realised my stupidity in volunteering for this task, and informed Mick Estlick that I’d seen the light and decided to retire from this overbearing task.  Consequently, any copies of these Newsletters would be rarer than Rocking Horse poo, and priceless to me. 

I would be absolutely amazed if anyone has kept a copy, but if so I’d be overjoyed to see one again, typo’s and all.
